His body is all one piece that has a mechanism in it that is covered with early printed fabric and contrasting fabric collar. When the center of his belly is squeezed, the mechanism activates his tongue which then sticks out. You can make is tongue stick in and out and in and out over and over again when his belly is pushed with your thumb. c. 1900. Overall height is 5". Excellent condition, the head is marked Germany, D.G.R.M. (a registered mark) on the back of the head as shown.
