Description:
This is an early all bisque sweet little child with the very unusual feature of flat soled blue bootines with one strap and white stockings with a pink edging at the top. She has very chubby stationary legs (non/jointed) with her arms being jointed at the shoulders. She is marked "O" on her back with each arm also marked "O". These features place her in an early time frame, sometime around 1870. Her pert little face is finely executed and she has wispy blond mohair wig (over a cardboard pate) very appropriate for a young child. She wears a sweet white lacy dress and bonnet. Made in Germany. 3 3/4" high. She is in great condition with no breaks or repairs.
