This is an unusual piece for Sonia Messer and I have never come across a dollhouse piece by her in this nice, light-colored finish. It is very smooth and nicely finished off. The top of the smallish table smoothly lifts up to turn into a chair whose seat also flips up for additional storage. No nails have been used in construction, instead it is wood peg jointed. The Sonia Messer label which is attached underneath is shown. c. late 1960's. Diameter of top is 3 1/8", height of table is 2 5/8", height of chair when open is 4 1/4".
