Description:
Fantastic all bisque doll made by Simon & Halbig in Germany c. 1900. She has a darling character face with very pouty mouth and stationary large blue glass eyes. She is quite rare, especially since she has dark brown stockings, with black one strap shoes. Jointed at the shoulders and hips. She wears her original folk outfit, which has never been removed with darling silk hat and she has a very long blond mohair braid going down her back, as can be seen in the photos. This sweet little girl carries her early woven Easter basket that contains an adorable metal bunny nestled between colorful Easter eggs! She is 3 7/8" high and all original. There is a little bit of melting (wear) on her clothing, but this can be easily forgiven because of her originality and sweetness. Beautifully executed with huge eyes and painted eyelashes.
