German Tin Gramaphone with Turn Crank SOLD

Status: Sold
Description:
What a rare and hard-to-find accessory for the early dollhouse. German-made tin Gramaphone or Victrola c. 1890's, beautifully made. The base portion is painted cream color, box is embossed design painted blue, and top is painted red, cream with notes all around the top center. Horn is gold color. Has a handle which turns and makes a blink, blink sound. These were called German penny toys at one time. I cannot find any markings on it. Beautifull condition, the paint is superb. The top of the box portion of the Victrola is 1 1/4" x 1 1/4". Overall height to the highest portion of the horn is 2 1/4". Pictured on a small early sideboard. This dollhouse accessory is some of the hardest to find and is the only Victrola I have ever come across.
