Early American Oak Dresser with Mirror #195-08

Status: Available Price: $149.00
Description:
What a great looking American oak doll's dresser, c. 1885, a true Americana. Beautifully made with portions in light stain and contrasting darker stain on the panels of the drawers and wooden knobs and also at the top portion of the mirror. These darker stained wooden overlays have been hand-carved beautifully with additional detailing and also with a vine, leaf and floral designs. The mirror is original and it is backed with a wood panel. Made with extra care and pictured with an early china head doll which is 13" high for size comparison (doll is sold separately). This dresser looks just like the real furniture so popular at the time. Height to the top of the mirror frame is 13", width is 8 3/4" and depth is 4 1/2". Lovely condition with great early patina. I cannot find any markings. One photo shows the bottom drawer open and a small portion of the sides which have extra detailing. The last photo also shows lovely accessories on the dresser for size comparison; each item is sold separately.
