Although this is a small chest of drawers that would be a side table, its official name given by Carl Forslund is "commode." Beautifully made from cherry wood with a lovely finish, it has carved curvatures on the front skirt and also by the side legs. The swell handles are also very well made with a lovely carved design and the tips of the fingers can be inserted in the hollow underneath the handles. Superb little piece and made for just a few short years, so all Forslund miniatures are difficult to find. 2 1/16" high. Great condition with no breaks or repairs. The last photo shows the commode with a Forlsund Mary Belle Lee upholstered chair for size comparison. (The chair is sold separately.)
