Beautifully made artist chairs with upholstered seats in a lovely deep pink or mauve brocade. The pattern on the upholstery is perfectly matched up on both chairs so that the oval shaped pattern is in the middle of the seat. Hand carved ball and claw feet and at the "knees"; also lots of hand carving at the curved back rest with scrolls and shell design--this is so hard to do on miniature wooden items. I have attempted so illustrate the carvings and the curvatures of the fiddle-back back rest. Mahogany color wood with so many lovely features, it is difficult to describe all of them. 1" scale. 3 1/2" high. Made in the 1970's or 1980's. Underneath is lined with black fabric. Unknown artist as I cannot find any signature. This set came out of my personal collection.
