Victoreen Black Enameled Chair #V-1 SOLD

Status: Sold
Description:
This is a lovely chair made by Walfrid Victoreen in Pittsfield, MA, c. 1946. The chair is 1" scale, 3 1/8" tall at highest point. Beautifully enameled in black and hand painted gold accent decoration on the gold. This chair is exactly the same as the next Victoreen natural finish chair show in the next item except this one has the additional finish work around the hand-woven seat. Lovely chair in beautiful condition, with no breaks or repairs. Mr. Victoreen was a craftsman who made dollhouse furniture for just a few short years, therefore, his pieces are very difficult to find. Although not marked, this is a documented Victoreen chair and can be seen online in the Bennington Museum collection. The last photo shows other Victoreen pieces with this chair; all items are sold separately.
