Description:
Very well made German bathing beauty laying on her side with her arm under her neck. She has a brown molded bob hair style with very nicely executed facial features with blush on her cheeks. She is attached to her original pin cushion ensemble which consists of pleated silk, ribbons and lavender flowers. The original silk ribbon ties her on and the original bow can be seen in the back. This is a very lovely, original piece. Some of the pleated silk around the sides is melting and the underneath pretty blue fabric can be seen. If one wishes, the over silk can be removed, but I did not want to do this as not to loose the originality of the piece. Some of the black silk ribbon is also slightly frayed. The underneath portion is shown, which is hard cardboard finished in lovely gold. The splendid lady laying on top is in excellent condition with no breaks, repairs, or hairlines. Overall length is 4" and height is 3 1/4". Original pin cushions such as these are very difficult to find.
