Description:
Early German glazed porcelain girl holding a doll close to her with one hand and a muff on the other hand. She wears metal wire rimmed glasses which are inserted into tiny holes on the sides of her head made specifically to hold the glasses. She has a very pretty face and is dressed as a girl of the 1860's era. She was made from very early pressed porcelain which was done in the 1860's and before. Made in Germany. Beautiful condition with no breaks or repairs. 6 1/2" high. From the fabulous collection of Dolores Smith of NH.
