Redware Blue Glazed Pedestal Bowl White Zigzag Decoration

Status: Available Price: $98.00
Superbly made redware pedestal bowl with splendid white slip zigzag decoration on the inside edge and a white 5-pedal flower with red interior. The redware pottery is very thin, in fact, it is the thinnest I have ever encounter in redware pottery--I initially thought this was porcelain. The colors stand out so well against the lovely royal blue color of the pedestal bowl. Highly glazed, this bowl is completely covered with the blue, even on the underneath portion except for the one tiny area underneath were the glaze did not take and is shown in one of the photos--this is where one can see that the bowl is redware. Beautiful piece. Height is 3/4" and diameter is 1 3/4". This is in lovely condition; there is one tiny area of roughness at the rim. Also pictured with a group of redware and pottery on a Tynieoty sideboard (all items are sold separately).
