German Kewpie Bride & Groom #205-27

Status: Available Price: $145.00
Description:
Very darling Kewpie Huggers Bride and Groom, by Rose O'Neill, all one piece molded together, made in Germany, most likely by Kestner. All original crepe paper and silk ribbon clothing, groom wears a splendid black crepe paper tuxedo with top had and his shy little bride whose head looks the other way has cream crepe paper dress, silk ribbons and a waxy bouquet. Very darling and all original. There are no breaks or repairs on the dolls, but since this was a cake topper on a wedding cake, there are still remnants of frosting mostly on the feet of this darling pair. The crepe paper clothing is very fragile and I did not want to do too much cleaning for fear of damaging the wonderful, original crepe paper clothing. 3 1/2" high. These all original Kewpie bride and groom cake toppers are becoming harder and harder to fine.
