Just Me Character Doll #168-20 SOLD

Status: Sold
Description:
What a darling little character doll made in Germany by Armand Marsielle in the 1920's, named Just Me. Her head is what is commonly referred to as "painted bisque" with superb execution. Her darling little puckered mouth is in a cupid's bow and her tiny glass eyes sleep, meaning they open and close, and have their original factory interior setting. Her wig is the original factory made strawberry blond wig with the orginal cardboard pate. The sweet little original 5-piece composition toddler body with chubby belly has one arm straight and one arm bent. The adorable little white batiste dress is trimmed with lace and pink ribbon with blue accents. Shoes are white leatherette. Her hand woven straw hat is so typical of the era. This is the best painted bisuqe head I have ever seen in nearly perfect condition--the wig is off so that this the painting of the head can be clearly seen. She is 7 1/2" of perfection and extremely hard to find in this nice condition. Back of the head with markings is also shown. Also shown with an early decorated Christmas tree that is sold separately.
