Description:
This is, by far, one of the loveliest German treenware items I have ever come across. Wooden pair of candlesticks, hand painted with red strawberries, green leaves and vines and accented with blue and gold stripes over a background of lovely cream color. Beautifully made and extremely rare, the strawberries design is one of the most desirable patterns in treenware. Height is 2". An example of this item is pictured in Swantje Koelher's Christian Hacker book on page 314. Also pictured on a 13" high American dresser with a 13" high china head lady for size comparison and to show how lovely they all look together--all items are sold separately. This is a very rare and wonderful set of treenware candlesticks.
