Description:
The two-pieces jardiniere set is one of the most beautiful artist made porcelain ensembles that I have ever had. Both matching pieces are signed Beate's on the bottom and the top of the pedestal also has a green mark which I cannot make out possibly a stylized capital V or perhaps lily-of-the-valley, I'm not quite sure--this mark can be seen in one of the photos with the top bowl removed. The pedestal and the bowl both have matching medalions hand painted with pink flower decorations in the middle and the medalion decorations are repeated on the back of each piece. Gold gilt and pink also decorates other portions of the 2 pieces. Both pieces have ribbed molding and the top of the bowl is scalloped. Beautiful execution on this glazed porcelain Jardinere set. 1" scale. Pedestal is 2 1/4" high, bowl is 3/4" high and overall height with bowl sitting on top of pedestal is 3". Beautiful condition, no breaks, chips or hairlines. Gorgeous thin porcelain.
