The top portion has a lovely design, which is shown separately, and the legs and center double pedestal are faux bamboo shapes. The top opens up revealing the beautiful original crepe lining inside. The accessories which come with the sewing stand include numerous tied silk threads in lovely colors, a ball of black yarn and a sweet pin cushion in the shape of a red strawberry with green leaf top stuffed with what feels like crushed nutshells. This is a lovely and rare set. c. 1900. Height is 3". Very nice condition with some wear to the gold gilt.
