Pair of Early French Mache Clowns #124-15, 16 SOLD

Status: Sold
Description:
Very early c. 1880 mache pair of clowns one with painted red clothing trimmed with black and the other with yellow clothing trimmed with red. I believe they were made in France. Each clown has a white face with red dots painted on them. Hands are in their pockets. Each is approximately 5 3/4" high and they are being sold as a pair. Nicely done. They can be used as toys or for display. Some aging and wear.
