Description:
This beautiful Tynietoy grand piano with bench is so rare and hard to find. Made from mahogany in a natural shade, it opens up with a brace as shown in the photos and the fretwork carved music stand is a contrasting lighter shade with a gorgeous cut design of a lyre in the middle with scroll work in a semi-circle. The music stand will stay in an upright position or it can be turned down flat. This majestic grand piano was created by Tynietoy of Providence, R.I. c. 1930. Lovely club feet on both the piano and the bench and the upper portions of the legs on the piano have beautiful scroll cut braces. The foot pedal has 3 brass pedals attached to nicely designed double brace. Paper keys. This particular piece was made without a music box. Beautifully made and so hard to find. Paper label is attached to the bottom as shown in the last photo. Would look spectacular in a Tynietoy House or any Tynietoy scene with other like dollhouse furniture. In nice condition and showing some aging as appropriate to this early era and for a piece over 90 years old.
