Description:
This is a splendid dollhouse lady made by the Kestner firm c. 1890. She is dressed in an exquisite Victorian dress in a vibrant red with a white pattern decoration and trimmed with red and black ribbon with an underblouse with a high collar--simply fantastic. Lovely face with great modeling detailing in the bisque with a pronounced molded bun in the back and low curly bangs in the front. She has the tiniest waiste, so stylish during that era. She is 4 3/4" high--a scale slightly smaller than 1" scale. She is pictured with early German furniture that is perfect for her height and brass coffee service, sold separately...she is shown with them for size comparison. She has very small molded black 1 stap, heeled shoes. Great condition....fantastic outfit on this doll, one I have never encountered before.
