Beautiful leather bound book, cover is embossed with some gold gilt decoration and edges of pages gold gilt. The Silver Medal was written by Aunt Laura whose name was Frances Elizabeth Barrow and published by Breed, Butler & Co., in Buffalo in 1863, as written on the title page. The complete book has 64 pages and tells a story of a young girl and how she desired to win a Silver Medal award. Very nice condition. Size is 1 3/16" wide by 1 5/8" high. These early miniature books are so difficult to find. Perfect for the early dollhouse.
