Extremely Rare Tiny Bye Lo Body with Celluloid Hands

Status: Available Price: $215.00
Description:
I believe that this is the smallest cloth body made for the German bisque headed Bye Lo. This tiny body is extremely rare and so difficult to find. The overall length from the tip of the toe to the top of the neck is 5 1/2". I believe this Bye Lo body would make a 6 1/2" to 7" doll. This body is very clearly marked: Bye-Lo-Baby, Pat. Appl'd For, Grace Storey Putnam. The tiny celluloid hands are in perfect condition. The original cardboard to hold in the stuffing is still there. This frog shaped tiny body is so rare and quite early, c. 1920, as Grace Putnam had not even received the patent yet, but had only applied for it as stated in the mark. This original cloth body was made for the German bisque Bye Lo baby and is in very nice condition.
