Description:
What a great looking young lady with the most fabulous all original outfit made from lace, velvet, batiste and wool accented by gold metalic braiding and metal decoration. Her original blond mohair is braided in the iconic hair style of the 1880's for young ladies. Stationary glass eyes, jointed at shoulders and hips. Molded one-strap black painted shoes with beige soles and high white stockings with blue bands, which are Kestner signatures. Hat is velvet covered with lace and long dangling ribbons on back, which have been pushed aside so that the fabulous braids in the back can be seen. c. 1880, made by Kestner in Germany. 3 7/8" high. Hard to find, lovely little doll. Underskirt is a contrasting rust color with white long underwear edged in lace....all original.
