Description:
So rare and hard to find, this lovely shadow box was created to specifically hold the delicate Carl Forslund dollhouse furniture. The shadow boxes were made for even a shorter period than the dollhouse furniture, in early 1940's and beautifully done with the original wallpaper in the back with beige background with red and blue dots in an artistic manner. The box sides and frame are made from hand-rubbed cherry wood with the same beautiful finish as the furniture. Marked on the back with the Carl Forslund label, as shown. Has hooks for hanging. Lovely condition showing just a tiny bit of age. Size is 10 5/8" long, 6 3/4" high and 3" deep. It can hanging on a wall or just set by itself as pictured with Forslund dollhouse furniture. The Forslund shadow box is pictured decorated with Forslund furniture and potted flowers to illustrate what can be done with these fine quality miniatures--all items are sold separately.
