Description:
What a fabulous piece made by Roger Gutheil. The splendid bracket feetl are very delicately formed. The doors are raised paneled and when the door is open, one can see it has been made from numerous pieces. The top, which is pictured, is made from 4 separate pieces and bevels downwards. The interior has two bottom drawers with brass pull handles with brass escutcheons and brass hinges. There is also a high shelf and wooden pegs to hang clothes. Made from cherry wood and finished in a velvety smooth finish. Brass key holes and it even has a tiny brass key in one of the holes. This piece is so superb, it is hard to describe. 6 l/2" h., 4 3/8" w. 2 3/8" d. Marked on the bottom: R.L.Gutheil. Made c. 1980. Great condition with no breaks or repairs. The collection pictured here and in the following pictures were all purchased in 1979 and 1980 from Mr. Gutheil and were obtained from one collection.
