Description:
Fantastic early dollhouse all bisque boy made in Germany c. 1860. This is a very early date for any doll and he is extremely rare. He was made from pressed bisque, which is much earlier than the poured bisque. Great early features and detailing....he wears the early style long blue jacket so populur in the mid-1800's with a black belt, white collar and red fancy bow tie; black, molded boots with flat heels. His arms are extended in a very unusual manner, as if to say, "Please pick me up." Very nice facial features for such a small piece. Dark blond molded hair with center part and curls in the back...again good detailing for such a small item. Overall height is 2"; shown with an early chair for size comparison--chair is not for sale. Non-jointed. Very nice condition with no breaks or hairlines.
