Description:
Well made occasional table with books is a small side table with several faux books permanently attached inside. Made by Lynnfield, c. 1948. Lovely all brass handle with escutcheon on bottom drawer and brass pull handle at the top butler tray, both of which open as shown in the photo. Beautifully finished mahogany wood with Chippendale style feet. The top portion is made from 3 pieces of mahogany wood, the two sides at different cross grains with angle cuts at the front portion and beveled edges for an unusual effect. Lynnfield was know for this type of extra fine detailing not seen in other dollhouse furniture. Great finish, detail and styling. 2 7/8" high, in 1" scale. Great condition.
