Description:
Ernie Levy was one of the best known miniaturists of the second half of the 1900's. He is most well-known for his fine quality 1" scale dollhouse furniture made from mohagany and other fine woods and is featured in numerous museum collections. Pictured is a basin stand made very delicately and finely with great curvatures and fine cabriole legs with padded feet. There are 2 tiny triangular shaped draws with miniscule brass pulls which are removable. The workmanship is particularly fine on this piece, dark mahogany with a satiny, soft finish. All in great condition. Height is 3 1/4". Signed on the bottom, Ernie Levy 4-77, which is also pictured.
