Description:
Shown is a spectacular half doll with molded braided coils (sometimes called snail coils) at ears. She is superbly executed with such a gorgeous face. Her left arm is extended way out and her right hand is held before her chest, both being away from her body. Her molded light brown hair is in the rare style of 2 braided coils at the ears with a braid across the crown of her head. This style was very popular before World War I. She wears a lacy cloth chemise. There are incised numbers on the back. This is truly a rare and wonderful, large size half doll. Great condition with no breaks, chips, cracks or repairs. 5" high. Made in Germany c. 1910.
