Forslund Ben Morris Secretary Desk #204-18

Status: Available Price: $295.00
Description:
The Secretary Desk is the loveliest piece by Carl Forslund and one of the rarest items they produced. Very detailed and finely made from cherry wood with a lovely cherry finish. There is so much carving work including the top center rosette, side scrollwork at the shelves at top, delicate tiny finials, carved handles and scroll-work on the skirt and by the side legs. The top recessed portion has two drawers, then the angled drop-front with cubbies on the interior. The top drawer on the body protrudes over the 2 larger bottom drawers which also have 1/2 finials on the sides. Beautiful workmanship and a very rare item indeed. The middle drawer on the base is marked underneath as pictured: Made Exclusively for Carl Forslund by Hilleary House. 4 3/8" high, 2 3/4" wide, 1 1/2" deep. Lovely condition.
