Description:
I just love this very large parrot on the hand and shoulder of this 1920's flapper half doll. The parrot is magnificent and such a large size...he is red with yellow and blue with feather outlining in black. His long tail goes all the way down her arm. The flapper has very heavy eye make-up, a desirable feature with these dolls, and bobbed hairstyle with fishhooks at cheeks. One arm is away and the other arm holding the parrot comes back in, just for additional support of the large, heavy parrot. Delicate fingers on the arm that is in front. Marked with numbers in the back. Made in Germany c. 1920. Overall height is 3 1/4". Excellent condition with no breaks or repairs. This half doll is exceedingly rare and lovely.
