Description:
What can be better in a nice early dollhouse than the elegant butler standing in the dining room ready to assist his master or mistress? He stands at attention, straight, with chin up ready to take directions. This fine fellow, who is in slightly smaller scale than 1", is dressed in his original black felt tuxedo with black felt bow tie. His turned down collar is made from paper and he has a white linen shirt. His superb bisque head is well modeled with pursed lips; hands and black shoes are also made from bisque. Body is cloth. He holds in his right arm an early linen towel with edges embroided with light blue thread. The towel has a stitch in the back to hold it on to his arm--beautifully done. The butler is 4 3/4" high. He is in great condition with no breaks or repairs. His tuxedo is in wonderful condition, his white linen shirt shows a tiny bit of aging.
