Description:
This Kestner petite bisque-head dollhouse lady is one of the finest I have ever had. She has a lovely molded dark blond up-do with curly bangs in the front and a lovely bun in the back. Her facial features are very distinct, especially for a doll her size, with blue painted eyes and delicately painted features. She is German made, c. 1890, by Kestner with bisque hands and legs with molded black short boots, with the distinct Kestner beige soles. She is petite at 4 3/4" high. Her lovely outfit is all silk brocade, cream color with a dark beige woven pattern and outlines with black velvet and black lace around the sleeves and collar. The back of the doll shows a wonderful bustle, very rare to find in a dollhouse doll. She wears faux pearl necklace and broach. Attached to her waist is a lovely hand beaded pocketbook which also has the same lace. Her underskirt is off white beautiful lacy scallops at the bottom. This lovely lady would make a wonderful addition to any early dollhouse. Her clothing is magnificent and very delicate, so care must be taken in handling.
