Description:
This is a truly exquisite and rare two-piece porcelain box made by one of the foremost porcelain factories in Germany around the 1910-15 period. The lady is elaborately costumed in the oriental theme with a high fancy headdress and flowing robe. Face and upraised hands are very fine and delicate with a hint of blush on cheeks and clevage. Colored in gold, black and white which is a typical scheme for S&V. This piece is in great condition, with no breaks or hairlines; there are a few minor paint rubs, hardly noticable. 6 1/2" high by 4" wide by 4" deep at largest points.
