Kestner Carpenter Lad #194-29 SOLD

Status: Sold
Description:
Sweet little all bisque lad made by the German firm of Kestner who is 3 3/4" high. c. 1900-1910 period. His original clothing is that of a carpenter, knickers, white shirt with collar and brown felt vest over which he is wearing his original brown leatherette apron; under his arm is tucked a tiny brass hammer, which is removable. He has dark blue stationary glass eyes and the greatest blond mohair curly wig, with curls going all around his head, beautifully done. He is jointed at the arms and legs, wears brown molded shoes with white stockings that go up to the knee with blue line at the top, a very distinct Kestner style. Darling little face with a tiny little mouth, all hand painted. All original and in great condition with no breaks or repairs. He would make a great addition to a dollhouse which needs a little repairing!!
