Description:
This is the lovliest early metal teapot I have ever had, with such great form. The exterior of the teapot is very shiny and I believe it to be nickel plated. The bottom portion of the spout is bulbous and has impressed design. The handle of this tea pot is spectacular; it swivels from one side to the other and it is twisted and shaped beautifully, with the top of the handle made from black ebony wood and turned in a beautiful form. The tea pot cover is removable. Fabulous condition, gorgeous shiny exterior with great early patina. This tea pot is made just like a real tea pot, but in miniature. Pictured with a ruler--overall height including the handle when it is standing straight up is 3 3/8" h.; without the handle to the top of the cover is 2 3/8". c. 1880, I believe this was made in Germany or England. Also pictured with an early American dresser that is 13" high and a German china-head lady doll who is also 13" high, for size comparison. All items are sold separately.
