What a charming lady dollhouse doll made by the German firm of Kestner c. 1924-5 era. She wears the typical clothing of that time with a square neck checked tunic top with ribbon trim at the sleeves and tie around the waiste. Her straight skirt is a light brown. She wears the typical black molded shoes with short heels. Dark blond hair is in the bobbed style of the era with a side part. Facial features are hand painted. Her body is cloth, whereas her legs arms and shoulderhead is bisque. 4 3/4" tall. Clothing is sewn on. She is in great condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. The back bottom seam of her skirt has split or rip from a little bit of wear, as can be seen in the photo. She stands next to a rare Tynietoy green Windsor chair, which is sold separately, for size comparison. Tynietoy sold these types of German dollhouse dolls in their catalogs, along with their own dollhouse dolls. F.A. O. Schwarz and other large stores also sold these types of dollhouse dolls.
