Black Cook for Dollhouse, All Cloth #199-17 SOLD

Status: Sold
Description:
Wouldn't this darling cook look great in a dollhouse kitchen? She was made c. 1930, all cloth, with hand painted smiling mouth and side glancing eyes. She has so much charm that she just wants to make you smile! Height is 5 3/4" high. She has mitt-style hands with large thumbs. Very professionally made, I believe from a cottage industry in the U.S.A. Her body looks to be machine stitched, very hard stuffed, with legs attached by hand stitching. Her darling yellow and red floral dress and white fine cotton apron, slip, scarf and kerchief all look to be hand stitched with minute little stitches. Clothing is sewn on. This little doll is in really nice condition.
