What a fantastic early educational toy to teach children counting. It was made by Milton Bradley and the cover of the box is dated March 20, 1877. The nicely litho illustrated front pictures children playing cashier. The divided interior box holds litho illustrated cardboard money. Several pieces replicate real money and have the dates of 1872 and 1870. The lithography is wonderful. Directions are on the inside cover. Some of the coins have the American flag illustrated on the back while some have a star. There are $2 1/2 pieces and $3 pieces included. This is a very early and rare toy and in very nice condition. Overall size of the box is 7" x 3 1/2". Great for the collector of early Americana.
