Excellent quality 1" scale birdcage table from 1977 made from solid mahogany and hand-carved detailing including the ball and claw feet by John J. Hodgson. The pedestal is finally turned with additional carving in the center with swirled carved lines. The birdcage area directly under the top can be seen in the photos. The table top has a finely executed lip on the edges. Very fine quality. The marking on the bottom is shown...an elf sitting on a mushroom (or toadstool) in gold with the date '77. Height of table is 2 1/2". Mr. Hodgson is a well-respected artist from England. Great condition. Provenance: From the estate of Richard Wright and originally from the Dorothy Dixon estate.
