Description:
Great looking bisque head grandfather dollhouse doll made by the German firm of Kestner c. 1900. He has the greatest character face, the modeling is so deep you can see his lines and deep crevices, so that one can immediately tell the head was one of the first out of the mold. He has a bald head with gray hair with comb marks in the back and gray mutton chops, an extremely desirable feature in dollhouse dolls. Even his eyebrows are painted gray in a way that makes him look thoughtful and with creases on his forehead. He wears his dark brown felt suit with contrasting black collar and black silk tie and black Dresden paper button, very stylish. His boots are molded black bisque. He is 6" tall. Great condition with no breaks or repairs. He is also pictured with a wonderful Boulle desk (desk sold separately) to show how nicely they look together.
