Description:
Set of 2 matching chairs in the Boulle style with the most gorgeous purple silk upholstery, edged with gold Dresden paper with a raised design, an extremely striking color combination. The wood is a beautiful very dark brown, almost ebony, with a lovely finish. Height of each chair is 2 7/8" and is 1" scale. Beautiful condition, I do not see any wear on these two pieces. It is so marvelous to be able to find a matching pair, exactly alike. These two chairs are pictured in Swantje Koehler's article, Crazy About Boulle, with a different color fabric and identified as a product of Kestner Co.
