Simon and Halbig Housekeeper with Gerlach Keys #196-31 SOLD

Status: Sold
Description:
This extremely rare dollhouse doll was made by the firm of Simon and Halbig in Germany c. 1890. She has a gorgeous bisque head with brown glass eyes and wig....very unusual for a dollhouse doll, as they mostly were made with painted eyes and molded hair. Her original wig is absolutely breathtaking, in its original set with a braided bun at the top. I have never had this doll before and was thrilled when I found her. Not only is she so rare, she is also all original, lovely clothing with apron and her original Gerlach keys attached at her waisteline. She is 6 1/4" high and in beautiful condition. Numerous pictures show her from front, back and close-ups. She also has her original slip and bloomers underneath. Legs are molded and she is wearing black 2-strap pumps. Everything about this dollhouse housekeeper is splendid. Great condition with no breaks and repairs.
