This set is pictured in the Stevens and Brown catalog of 1872 and they call this "sad iron and stand." Beautifully made, the trivet or stand is very ornate with swirls and loops. This is hard-to-find original Stevens and Brown cast iron, not a later version. Length of trivet with handle is 2 1/4", height with iron on top of trivet to top of handle is 1 1/4". Great condition with no breaks or repairs.
