Description:
This superb soap dish is very early hand-pressed, glazed porcelain, white with a pinkish/red painted line decorating the underneath edge. But what is truly spectacular about this item is the very early cake of soap, a miniscule soap bar that is so wonderful....it's a wonder that it has survived all these years. The dish has molded ridges inside(so that the soap won't disintegrate by sitting in water!!) This set is perfect for my lady's bath or just an accessory sitting on the bureau for an early doll. Soap dish measures 1 2/2" by 1 1/4". Tiny soap bar measures 5/6" x 7/16". Truly a wonderful item and in very nice condition with no breaks or repairs.
