Description:
What a sweet, pouty all bisque girl made by Gbr. Heubach c. 1910-15 era. Look at that expression!! She has intaglio googlie eyes with a downturned open/closed mouth as if she was suddenly surprised by something. Fantastic molded blue bows that are glazed by her ears with matching blue shoes. Her excellent antique lace dress has the same blue silk ribbon decorating the front. She is 4 1/2" high. Finely made and well balanced so she can stand on her own. Arms are jointed and her legs are stationary. This is a rare, and hard to find Heubach character. Great condition with no breaks or hairlines. This same model can be see on page 108 in Richter & Schmelcher's book, Heubach Character Dolls & Figurines.
