Description:
Fantastic and rare sitting bathing beauty with such wonderful body modeling by the German firm of Alfred Pensky, this bathing beauty is truly a work of art. The Alfred Pensky company is very well known for their superb execuction of lady bodies on bathing beauties. This particular lady is even better than ususal, with the unusual pose and both arms modeled separately and away from the body, one bent in the front and the other under the knee. Fingers and toes are finely rendered and when viewing from the back, one can see the delicate curvature of the spine, the roundness of the buttocks, exactly as the human form. Her hair is painted brown with molded coils at her ears, another rarity in bathing beauties. Delicately painted pensive face with a delicate part between her lips. She is truly a lovely creature. Made from bisque, c. 1915 era. 2 7/8" high, length 2 3/4" in the sitting position. Perfect condition with no breaks or repairs.
