Large Googlie Girl Toddler w/Blue Molded Ribbons #184- 34

Status: Available Price: $215.00
Description:
Pictured here is one of the most darling little all bisque girl dolls with such a fantastic face with a sweet little expression. I have had her in the past in a smaller size, but I have never encountered her in this beautiful, large size. 5 1/2" high. She is an all bisque character, with the wonderful feature of molded blue bows on both sides of her temples. She has three light brown molded tuffs of hair some slight molded curls at the back of her head. Her painted eyes are googlie, very dark with additional painted white highlights in the dark iris, giving her face a very realistic expression. With her large open eyes looking to the side and raised light brown eyebrows, she has a delightfully somewhat surprised look. Her all bisque body is jointed at the shoulders and hips, and each arm is molded differently, one in towards the body and the other is out from her body with hands turned upwards. She is in fantastic condition, no breaks, repairs or hairlines--she has one bitsy mold flaw on the back edge of one leg, which occurred during production--it is so slight, it shouldn't even be mentioned. Her body is modeled beautifully and she even has dimples on her knees and nicely modeled toes. She was made in Germany, c. 1910-15 era. No markings. She wears a simple but sweet early lace dress that is tied with a silk blue ribbon that matches the blue bows molded and painted on her head. This darling toddler has a very chubby belly and perfectly balanced for when she is posed correctly, can stand on her own as the pictures demonstrate. Her really rare feature, though, is the molded blue bows on her head.
